DDG seemingly wants social media users to stop trolling his breakup with Halle Bailey. In a recent ‘No Ordinary Podcast’ episode, the streamer opened up about their ongoing family ties and the public criticism. For those who might not know, the former pair have an infant son, Halo.

The 26-year-old revealed their split in an Instagram Stories statement on Oct. 4, and he’s stayed in the headlines since. From an alleged leaked post shading Halle, to love life advise he’d give his former self, and a spicy clapback at Joe Budden, DDG has been active online. Meanwhile, ‘The Little Mermaid’ has yet to say anything about the breakup online or in the media.

DDG Says He & Halle Bailey Are “Forever Family”

In the Oct. 6 episode, DDG reminded the critics and jokesters that clowning him means clowning their family as a whole.

“I personally think that people just personally pick on me. People like specially pick on me because for a long time people felt like I didn’t belong in like the music industry…especially me being with Halle…she’s a superstar, she’s the greatest ever,” DDG said.

The streamer said he thinks people already had a narrative about him not being worthy of her. That’s why he’s gotten all the side-eyes and the backlash, he claims.

“It’s a reason why she stayed with me, it’s a reason why we had a child together. It’s a reason why all of this happened. Me and Halle are forever family. I would Swiss cheese your granny, I don’t care if she’s 100. I would Swiss cheese your granny over Halle and that’s just what it is. That’s called family.”

But, his comments didn’t end there. DDG shared that the critics and trolls need to back off because he’s not a random person to Halle Bailey.

“So I feel like people should just keep that in their head when they talk about us. You’re talking about family. “You need to relax. I’m not just no random n***a, I’m not juts no random n****a and I feel like y’all don’t consider that at all. If I’m hurting, that can be hurting my baby that you love so much. So I feel like a lot of people forget that,” he add.

DDG has seemingly been approaching his limit with all the reactions following his split. Over the weekend to clock Joe Budden for subtly suggesting he was a nobody, clout chasing off of Halle’s name.

“They’ve broken up, so I don’t get to keep seeing this n***a’s name attached to this girl’s name, and I don’t know him for nothing as a stand-alone, and for me, it’s important based on their own name and merit and what they have done,” Budden said on his podcast.

Needless to say, the streamer didn’t let it slide. He put his Twitter (now X) fingers to work, and Budden responded.
