Bollywood star Govinda was spotted in Mumbai during Shashi Prabhu’s burial, where he was his former secretary. As he paid his final tribute to his childhood buddy and longtime collaborator, the actor was clearly moved.
Govinda Breaks Down At His Former Secretary Shashi Prabhu’s Funeral
After fighting cardiac problems, Shashi Prabhu reportedly died at his home in Borivali West, Mumbai, at 4 p.m. He had lately had a bypass operation as well.
Govinda’s current secretary, Shashi Sinha stated that Prabhu was more than just a secretary to the veteran actor. Speaking to ETimes he said, “He was Govinda’s childhood friend. From the very beginning, they shared a close bond, and for many years, he also worked for Govinda. I got to know him later. But during Govinda’s early struggles, he was like a brother to him. Govinda loved him like a brother, and their relationship remains the same to this day.”
Additionally, Shashi Prabhu had been instrumental in managing Govinda’s political leanings. Shashi Sinha denied that Prabhu was in charge of Govinda’s choice to enter politics, but he acknowledged that Prabhu had a significant role in overseeing Govinda’s political career.
Earlier Govinda was in the news for his separation rumours with wife Sunita Ahuja. As per reports, Sunita had sent Govinda a divorce notice six months ago, but according to the actor’s lawyer, the couple has now resolved their differences.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s love story blossomed in the 1980s when they met through family ties, despite challenges and his rising stardom. The duo secretly tied the knot in 1987. Their enduring bond has stood the test of time, making them one of Bollywood’s most cherished and inspiring couples.
