The Lagos State Government has taken 21 suspects before the court for constituting a public nuisance in the Oshodi area of the state.
The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this in a post on X.com on Monday.
According to him, officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps arrested the suspects on Monday.
“Earlier today, operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps @LAGESCOfficial arrested 21 miscreants constituting nuisance and terrorising Oshodi and environ. They have been charged to the court for prosecution,” the commissioner wrote.
In April, the Lagos State Police Command said a total of 1,019 suspected miscreants were arrested in different parts of the state.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad noted that 43 of the suspected miscreants were apprehended at Oshodi.
A criminal report recently released by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice identified Oshodi as one of the dark spots in the state.
