One source told the outlet that a postponement is “highly likely” since the fires are still not under control and are popping up across the city. There is also talk of a potential benefit concert, which the Grammys would organize alongside MusiCares. The outlet noted that both the 2021 and 2022 Grammy ceremonies were delayed amid the COVID pandemic. Going into the ceremony, Beyonce leads the field of nominees with 11 nods to her name. Her album Cowboy Carter is up for Album of the Year, and her song “Texas Hold ‘Em” is competing for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year. She is now the most-nominated artist in Grammys history.
