Atlético de Madrid got the better of Real in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey this Thursday evening.

At the Metropolitano, a few days after being defeated by the Merengues in the semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup, the Matelassiers made the difference after extra time (4-2). Not without a masterpiece by Griezmann (100e).

The JEWEL of Antoine Griezmann!

The Frenchman, celebrated at the start of the match, scored the best goal of the evening with a sublime strike!

Before his 175e goal among the Colchoneros, the French international had seen his team lead twice in regulation time, thanks to Lino (39e) and Morata (57e), but a csc from Oblak (45e+1) and a goal from Joselu (82e) had allowed the White House to pick up the score.

Riquelme (119e) will have completed Atlético’s work in the final moments of the game. A great revenge for Simeone’s team which joins Barça, Mallorca, Sevilla FC, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad, Celta Vigo and Girona in the quarter-finals of the Spanish Cup.
