Still as passionate about the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the careers of French athletes, Antoine Griezmann lost his temper in the face of Eurosport’s comments during Lisa Barbelin’s archery semi-final.

“🚨 MEDAL ALERT 🇫🇷!” 🥉 LISA 🥉 BRAVOOOOO!!!!! 🏹 »

Antoine Griezmann has struck again for Lisa Barbelin’s bronze medal in archery. The vice-captain of the French football team continues to announce, on his X account, the medals won by the French at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. His famous hashtag “#AlerteMedaille” now has its automatic emoji, namely the head of a smiling “Grizi” in sunglasses and a hat. He has had a lot of work in recent days, especially with the coronations of Teddy Riner and Léon Marchand.

From home (he began his pre-season preparation with Atlético Madrid after spending three days at the Olympics), Griezmann has been passionate about the archery event that saw Lisa Barbelin become the first ever French archer to win an individual Olympic medal. Before beating South Korea’s Jeon Hun-young (6-4), the Moselle native was unable to do anything against another representative of the “Land of the Morning Calm”, Nam Su-hyeon (6-0), failing to score a single 10.

Griezmann did not like a comment from Eurosport

“0 Eurosport commentator on Lisa at archery! 0!”the 33-year-old left-hander was offended during Lisa Barbelin’s tense semi-final, while the channel’s journalist explained, very logically, that the 24-year-old archer did not deserve to play for gold in the final by not planting any 10. The two Eurosport commentators had nevertheless become enthusiastic about each of Lisa Barbelin’s qualifications and in particular her improbable quarter-final victory against the Indonesian Diananda Choirunisa, who shot her last arrow in the 5!

“I came here with the firm intention of making history, today I made history, and I am immensely proud of myself and the work I have done for so many years, I always told myself that I would win an Olympic medal one day and here I am”launched (on France 2) a Lisa Barbelin on the verge of tears after having won her much-dreamed-of podium.
