Griezmann makes a shattering announcement

While at a press conference this Thursday, Antoine Griezmann dropped some big news on his future.

Author of a great season for Atlético Madrid, Antoine Griezmann joined Clairefontaine at the start of the week to prepare for Euro 2024 in Germany (from June 14 to July 14) with the French team. Invited before the media this Thursday, the Mâconnais was notably questioned about his future. The opportunity for the 33-year-old striker to clarify things, he who is the subject of numerous rumors.

“There were offers, there were calls”first indicated the vice-captain of the Blues, before definitively sealing his near future: “But I was clear, I want to continue at Atlético”where he has a contract until June 2026.

Griezmann: “This is where I want to end my career in Europe”

Antoine Griezmann then explained why he has no intention of changing scenery this summer. “I made a lot of effort to come back (to Atlético) to be accepted, so that’s where I want to be, that’s where I want to finish my career in Europe,” he assured.

Announced in the sights of several European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, but also Saudi teams, Antoine Griezmann will therefore not leave Atlético Madrid this summer, barring a huge twist. And once his story with the Colchoneros is over, the former Barcelona player will most certainly leave the Old Continent to join the MLS, where he dreams of ending his career.
