Manchester City coach was particularly complimentary to one of his great reinforcements of 2025.

Pep Guardiola seems to have no regrets concerning the signing of Abdukodir Khusanov. Arrived this winter in Manchester City for 40 million euros from the RC Lens, the Uzbek defender continues the matches as a holder within the hinge of the Skyblues.

Despite the difficulties of the defending champions of England, the new recruit of the Citizens, launched without transition in the English elite, was convincing. After the success of his team against Tottenham (1-0) this Wednesday in the Premier League, the Spanish coach did not fail to underline the personality, the involvement and the qualities of his young protégé.

“People love it”

“When you talk to him, he laughs, he laughs all the time, but he is a reliable player. It is so fast, the quality of its passes is extraordinary. He breaks the lines. He has the ability to do so. (…) I saw very fast players, he is one of them. People love it. He is silent, he does not complain and he is so humble. And I'm sure our supporters will love it ”he assured at a press conference.

Since his arrival in the Eastlands, Khusanov has taken part in six of the last nine games in City. With the displacement on the lawn of the Spurs this Wednesday evening, he competed in all of the last four games in his new colors, against Newcastle and Liverpool in the league, as well as the Return Field against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
