Back in 2023, GUNTHER broke Honky Tonk Man’s record by holding the WWE Intercontinental Championship for nearly 600 days. Now, GUNTHER has reached even greater heights.
On last night’s episode of Raw, GUNTHER defended the Intercontinental Championship against the New Day’s Kofi Kingston. While the WWE star did acknowledge his opponent’s tenacity, he made one thing very clear.
“Listen to this. Kofi fought hard, Kofi fought with courage. Only issue is, nobody’s perfect, but I’m damn close. I will forever be the greatest and longest-reigning Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion of all time.”
Last week, GUNTHER was talking about the possibility of winning the 37th Royal Rumble, and becoming double champion. Unfortunately, he was eliminated by Cody Rhodes.
That being said, GUNTHER has proven his mettle once again by defending his Intercontinental Championship. It seems that his pride in himself is not entirely unjustified. Check out his comments below.
Do you think GUNTHER will remain the longest-reigning champ? Let us know down below!
