GUNTHER’s reign as the WWE Intercontinental Champion already cemented him as an all-time great in the company, as he held the title for 666 days before dropping it to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40. Interestingly enough, he broke character by posing with Sami Zayn after a WWE live event in Japan.

The Ring General is someone who truly loves professional wrestling and especially maintains character no matter what, as he knows the value of keeping up with his character no matter what.

While touring Japan, the promotion recently received an intriguing social media post from Daisuke Sekimoto. The Japanese wrestler shared a backstage photo featuring Sami Zayn and GUNTHER posing together after the WWE event at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, as GUNTHER broke character.

GUNTHER is set to challenge Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and it is expected fans will see him appear regularly on WWE television and build his feud with Priest, so we’ll have to see who will ultimately triumph at SummerSlam next month.
