Gunther Could See Himself Acting in a James Bond Villain Role

Gunther won the WWE Intercontinental Championship in June 2022 and eventually became the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in history. Due to his excellent role as a heel, some feel he can definitely be in a movie and now Gunther has revealed the specific requirements he has for an acting role.

As fans are aware, numerous wrestlers have ventured into the world of Hollywood. On the other hand, some individuals from Hollywood have also ventured into the wrestling industry.

The likes of John Cena, The Rock and Batista have truly paved the way for other professional wrestlers to pursue acting endeavors as well, something that many WWE Superstars are even considering.

While speaking to Fightful, Gunther was asked about the possibility of pursuing acting in the future. He expressed uncertainty about his acting abilities but mentioned that he could envision himself taking on a specific role, such as being a bodyguard for a Bond villain or even portraying the Bond villain himself in a James Bond movie.

I wouldn’t think I’m a good actor. It would need to be a very specific role. I think that’s what it would need to be. I could be a bodyguard for a Bond villain or be the Bond villain, maybe, work myself up. [laughs].”

Gunther was unable to win the Royal Rumble match this year but it is certain he will have a big role at WrestleMania 40. We will have to wait and see how The Ring General will be booked in the coming weeks.
