Guru Randhawa drops cryptic post amid backlash over supporting Farmers’ protest; says, “How can I blame the wind for…”

Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa shared a cryptic Instagram story following his support of farmers’ protests, for which he has been receiving backlash. He dropped a note on his story that made headlines for his remark.

Guru Randhawa had faced criticism for voicing his support to farmers amid the ongoing protests in Shambhu and Khanauri. His Instagram story read, “How can I blame the wind for the mess it made, if it was me who opened the window. But from here, just upwards and onwards. 2025, be ready…”

A few days back, the singer had urged the government to look into their plea and provide an end solution to their needs. He took to X and wrote,  “Farmers provide food to every household in our country. Their voices need to be heard. Requesting our government officials to please sit and discuss with the farmers’ representatives.”

As soon as he shared his views on X, the Punjabi singer was brutally trolled for showcasing his support for farmers. There were even speculations by netizens that his support might be because of money or threats. One of the users on X wrote, “Paise milgaye ya dhamki mili hai?” while another added, “Payment hogayi kya…?” Another user commented, “Let’s unite and support our Country… Meri Mitti, mera desh is world’s best desh. Period.”

On the work front, Guru will be next seen in the film Shaunki Sardar, starring Babbu Maan and Guggu Gill. It is directed by Dheeraj Kedarnath Rattan and produced by Ishaan Kapoor, Shah Kandiali and Dharminder. It is stated to be released on May 16th 2025.
