Gypsy Rose Blanchard Offers Advice to Menendez Brothers

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has advice for Erik and Lyle Menendez.

The 33-year-old former convict, who was released from Missouri’s Chillicothe Correctional Centre in December 2023 upon serving seven years after pleading guilty to the second-degree murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blacnchard, discussed the Menendez Brothers in an interview with TMZ.

During the discussion, she said that if a new trial or resentencing is confirmed for the two, who were convicted of murdering their parents in Beverly Hills in 1989, they should not rush their return to society.

If you didn’t know, a hearing for the brothers is being considered due to the submission of new evidence. At the same time, their case attracted new attention due to the Netflix series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

She also said she is “not very educated” in the Mendendez case, but reiterated her passion for abuse victims’ rights to be recognized.

“I’m an advocate for abuse victims in general and I’m all about prison reform so … if the case is being reviewed, then hopefully something can be done. Abuse victims need to be advocated for more.”
