Before scoring the third goal of Manchester City’s victory against United (3-1) on Sunday, Erling Haaland missed an opportunity two meters from the opposing goal.

After his XXL quintuple against Luton (2-6), Tuesday in the FA Cup, Erling Haaland scored his 18th goal in the Premier League during the derby between Manchester City and United, Sunday at the Etihad Stadium (3-1). The Norwegian striker increased the score in added time, while Phil Foden single-handedly turned the situation around with a superb double.

Haaland had previously distinguished himself with a completely crazy miss before half-time. On a delivery from Foden, the reigning Golden Shoe failed to target his shot from the left when he was right in front of the goal, two meters from the goal line (45th).

Liverpool-Man City next Sunday!

The 23-year-old striker sometimes gets through it: he had already been catastrophic at finishing during the matches against Chelsea and Bournemouth last month. Haaland will need to do better next week in the huge summit clash between Liverpool and Man City on Sunday at Anfield.

The English and European champions are only one point less than the Reds in the PL standings. By winning their match of the 27th day in Sheffield on Monday evening, Arsenal would come back one step behind Manchester City. The title race is breathtaking.
