Haaland, it’s terrible!

Manchester City saved a point against Chelsea (1-1) thanks to Rodri on Saturday, after numerous missed opportunities by Erling Haaland.

After the victories of Liverpool (4-1 at Brentford) and Arsenal (5-0 against Burnley) earlier in the day, Manchester City did not win the clash of the 25th day of the Premier League against Chelsea (1- 1), Saturday evening. The English and European champions, although they still have one game less on the clock, are now third, four and two points behind the Reds and the Gunners respectively!

Pep Guardiola’s team could easily have won against the Blues, having struck on goal 31 times! The residents of the Etihad Stadium were unable to target their shots, like a catastrophic Erling Haaland in front of the goal guarded by Djordje Petrovic. The Norwegian striker had never gone 9 times without scoring with Man City. He finished with an expected goal of 1.71. That’s more than Chelsea’s xG!

Sterling clears Walker

Man City conceded a goal from a former member of the house, Raheem Sterling, who hooked his friend Kyle Walker to score forcefully before half-time (42nd). The Cityzens then wasted all their opportunities before an equalizer signed by Rodri 10 minutes from the end, the Spanish midfielder’s powerful recovery being deflected by Trevoh Chalobah (83rd).

Manchester City will try to get back to within just one point of Liverpool by winning their postponed match against Brentford on Tuesday evening, before going to Bournemouth.
