Haise, which excludes him from the race to succeed Klopp

Franck Haise is unlikely to be appointed as Liverpool’s new manager.

To everyone’s surprise, his name emerged as a potential successor to Jurgen Klopp on the Liverpool bench. But there is still very little chance that Franck Haise, the current coach of Lens, will be parachuted into Anfield.

Firstly because he is not the priority of the Merseysiders board. In reality, it’s only at the very bottom of the shortlist. Far behind Xabi Alonso, Nagelsmann and co. Everyone preceding him in the order of priorities would have to say no for us to turn to him.

Haise starts from very far away

The other reason Haise probably shouldn’t coach the Reds is his limited command of the English language. “I don’t think he speaks it and that’s unacceptable,” said Pierre-Etienne Minonzio, the team’s journalist. The latter then recalled the example of Claude Puel at Leicester, “with whom communication was not fluid” and who, in fact, had to abandon his functions quite quickly.

Besides Puel, a certain Jacques Santini was also pushed out by the English because he did not express himself very well in Sheakspeare’s language. On the other hand, Arsène Wenger and Gérard Houllier, who were excellent in English, all lasted quite a long time across the Channel.
