Deadpool & Wolverine had no shortage of celebrity cameos. However, fans were all hoping to see Halle Berry fly in as Storm again. It turns out that it really could have happened. The 58-year-old actress first played the weather witch alongside Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine in 2000′s X-Men. Her most recent outing as the character was in 2014′s X-Men: Days of Future Past. During a recent interview, Halle revealed that Blake Lively had asked her if she’d be willing to appear in the movie. Why didn’t it work out? Keep reading to find out more… Speaking to ComicBook.com, Halle said that there were never any official talks about having her in the blockbuster. “Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, ‘Would you ever be in my husband’s movie as Storm?’ I said, ‘Yeah, if he asked me,’ but he never asked me.” We recently learned why another huge X-Men star didn’t appear in the new Marvel movie. One of the MCU’s original Avengers also turned down an offer. Interestingly, did you know that one of Halle‘s movie roles was originally meant to go to Blake?
