“Hangman” Adam Page is back with a vengeance.
On the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, “Hangman” Adam Page made his return, as he was revealed as The Elite’s hand-picked Wild Card in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. Page faced Jeff Jarrett in a quarterfinal match in the tournament.
Page had new entrance music, and he had a more aggressive demeanor, as it was clear that he was a man on a mission.
“Hangman” also showcased a more ruthless attitude throughout the match as he took out plenty of frustration on Jarrett. Jarrett rallied, but Page ultimately put him away with a Deadeye. With the win, Page advanced to the semi-finals; he will face Jay White on the July 6 episode of AEW Collision. The winner will face Bryan Danielson on the July 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. The winner of the tournament will challenge for the world title at AEW All In.
Backstage after the bout, the Young Bucks celebrated with Page. The Bucks noted that they lifted his suspension but told him they needed a fifth man for their team at Blood & Guts. Page said that he was not their puppet, and he was not their “man” anymore. He vowed to win the tournament.
“Hangman” Adam Page had been absent since AEW Revolution. There, he challenged Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship in a match that included Swerve Strickland. The Young Bucks then announced that Page had been suspended from The Elite on the following episode of AEW Dynamite.
