Barcelona midfielder Pedri has always been known as one of world football’s most magical players.
While injuries plagued him until last season, he was exceptional every time he took to the field and has always been one who can crank open defences at his mercy.
Under Hansi Flick, however, his role has changed significantly without negating the essence of what makes him special, for he is evolving into a player who is well-rounded on all fronts.
Moulding into a generational player
Pedri under Flick has been a completely different beast, and the primary factor behind his sudden improvement is undoubtedly his renewed fitness.
The Canary Islander has revealed before that he now feels fitter than he has felt in recent years and the result is visible on the pitch.
The same player who struggled to complete 60 minutes is now able to play well beyond the 80th minute, that too with a much higher work rate.

Last night against Sevilla, the former Golden Boy winner shone in attack with multiple line-breaking crosses and a phenomenal goal from distance. He was also the player with the most ball recoveries with seven.
Adding defensive excellence to his repertoire only makes Pedri a better midfielder than he already was and he is now turning into a complete and well-rounded player who can play any position in the middle of the park.
With Bayern Munich and Real Madrid coming up, he will look to keep up his form and contributions.
