FC Barcelona continue to prepare for their return to La Liga action later this weekend when they make the short trip to Montilivi to take on Girona.

However, Hansi Flick & co. are still without a number of players who are currently away on international duty as they ramp up preparations for Sunday’s encounter.

Flick calls up four young talents

As such, in order to make up numbers in light of the absences, Barcelona manager Flick has called up four youth talents to first-team training today, reports Mundo Deportivo.

Indeed, defenders Landry Farre and Alexis Olmedo trained with senior setup today, along with teenage attacking midfielder Noah Darvich and attacking sensation Toni Fernandez.

The likes of Olmedo, Darvich, and Fernandez were part of the pre-season under Flick as well and are some of the players that the coach is following very closely, with Landry also joining the list recently.

Toni Fernandez, in particular, is a young talent that Flick has taken a special interest in, along with his cousin Guille Fernandez.

The teenage duo started for Barça Atletic in their most recent fixture against Ourense which they won 3-0, with Toni scoring a stunning brace.

When will the internationals return?

As things stand, Barcelona are still awaiting the return of a number of their players away on national team duty.

Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo, Pedri and Lamine Yamal (Spain), Pablo Torre and Pau Cubarsi(Spain U-21), Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Germany) and Jules Kounde (France) are all expected to be unavailable at the manager’s disposal until Thursday.
