Barcelona new coach, Hansi Flick, has to start making decisions about possible departures from the squad.

Both he and the sporting management have clear targets to sign in the event that there is a salary limit with the priority being a central midfielder and/or a winger. But the first evaluations will be with the loan players and footballers who have had less minutes.

One of the cases to be discussed is the situation of Ansu Fati, who is returning from his loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Hansi Flick will give Ansu Fati a chance

Ansu Fati had fallen out of favour at Barcelona and was loaned out to Brighton last season, where he endured a difficult campaign yet again.

As such, the Blaugrana have been considering parting ways with him again this summer, either permanently or even on loan.

However, as per SPORT, Hansi Flick is now looking forward to giving Fati a chance in the pre-season to see what the Barcelona academy graduate can do.

Flick has been very interested in what is happening with Ansu Fati and the sporting director, Deco, has passed on all the information that the club handles as well as the possible options that the player could have.

Barça are aware that the forward wants a chance and that he is willing to fight for a place. It will be necessary to determine his physical condition and his possibilities to have minutes in the new project.

Everything will also depend on the signings that Barça can make and it seems that he would not have too much space in the squad.

Nevertheless, Flick is willing to talk to the player to find out his state of mind and to give him a chance during the pre-season.

The German coach had very good references on the Ansu who exploded at Barça and wants to see his potential. Flick wants to see if he is redeemable and can once again be an important player.

In any case, if Ansu does complete the pre-season he will be back in the shop window and that would also make things easier for a possible departure as interested teams would have the opportunity to see him.
