Hansi Flick delivers a key message to his staff after blistering start at Barcelona

Close to a month into the new season, FC Barcelona are sitting atop the La Liga standings having won all four of their matches under Hansi Flick.

The German tactician took over the reins from Xavi Hernandez and has led the Blaugrana to a brilliant start, which even earned him the La Liga Coach of the Month honour for August.

Flick has had to overcome several hurdles in the early parts of his tenure at Barça but with the help of his staff, has ensured a perfect start to the 2024/25 season.

A message of togetherness

Earlier today, Flick took all members of his staff for lunch at the Can Ferran restaurant in Sant Quirze del Vallès to celebrate the team’s fine start to the campaign.

And, according to Mundo Deportivo, during the celebration, the 59-year-old German tactician addressed his staff and delivered a key message to all the members – one of unity, togetherness, and continued efforts.

Indeed, the Barcelona coach told his assistants that the victories they have achieved so far and those they achieve from now on belong to each and every member of the staff, the whole group and the players, and not just to him.

In addition, he encouraged his staff members to continue in the same line of intense work now that a tough stretch of matches is coming up for the team, including the visit to Girona and the Champions League opener against Monaco.

It was a strong indicator of how Flick tends to shy away from the personal spotlight in order to always focus on the cohesion of the group.

Flick’s message was one of team unity and group spirit and was met with applause from all those attending the lunch.
