Since his arrival, Todd Boehly has been full of ideas for Chelsea, his new club. After having invested heavily in the squad in transfer fees (nearly 1.2 billion euros in two years), the American wants to rebuild a new Stamford Bridge. Like Manchester United, the club wants to use the surrounding space to carry out work and expand the stadium. For this, the London club finalized the purchase of 2.47 acres of land (nearly 1 hectare) on Wednesday. But Chelsea will only be able to take possession of the premises and begin work from 2027 according to The Standard.

This is the time the company needs to put an action plan in place to allow residents currently on the land to be relocated. Still according to the British daily, Chelsea want to be able to have their new stadium by the end of 2030. With this setback, this timetable could be too ambitious.
