Tonight on AEW Dynamite, we look to set the stage toward AEW Grand Slam and focus on some key grudges within the AEW Women’s Division.
First, we hear from the AEW Women’s World Champion, Mariah May, as she sets to defend her title against Toni Storm at AEW Grand Slam in Australia. However, this Saturday on Collision the two will meet face-to-face and May says she can play games too and cannot wait to meet Storm for the very first time.
Storm’s fellow Aussie, Harley Cameron appears and says she’s looking to get in on some action in her home country as well. Needless to say, Renee Paquette doesn’t understand a lick of what they’re saying.
Next, after a surprise appearance last week, it looks as if Megan Bayne wants to leave more than just an impression within the AEW Women’s Division.
“4 Beltz” Mercedes Moné is in Knoxville tonight and is ready for anyone to get on board the Moné train. Sparking some “inspiration” from earlier tonight, Cameron begins to serenade The CEO for a challenge at Grand Slam. Moné snaps her back to reality and says she hasn’t won a match on AEW TV yet. So it’s a “naur” until she can prove otherwise.
Julia Hart and Jamie Hayter are set to go at it for a second time tonight on Dynamite. Hart has a one-up on Hayter, but look to settle the score again tonight. The match spills out to the outside, but Hart is able to gain the upper hand.
Hayter manages to clip Hart on the top rope and Back Suplexes her from the top rope. She begins to target the back of Hart, but Hart continues to fight through with pure tenacity. The two go back and forth, but in the end Hayter hits the Hayterade to get even with Hart.
Our victor takes the mic and despite everything that’s happened, she still respects Hart for putting up a fight all on her own. And whenever Hart wants a third match, it’s on.
