Harry Redknapp has picked his best 11 performers from the weekend’s action.
The Premier League team of the weekend that has most impressed him.
Included in his top 11 are two stand out players from Newcastle United’s 5-1 victory over Sheffield United.
Harry Redknapp explaining to BetVictor why he chose this Newcastle United duo amongst his Premier League team of the week:
Jordan Pickford (Everton)
Timothy Castagne (Fulham)
Marco Senesi (Bournemouth)
Manuel Akanji (Man City)
Ashley Young (Everton)
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Conor Gallagher (Chelsea)
Adam Wharton (Palace)
Anthony Gordon is another lad who seems to always be in this team, but how can I leave him out? He was fantastic in that second half against Sheffield United. He won a penalty, created a couple of the goals and was just causing so many problems for Sheffield. Right now, he’s probably one of Gareth Southgate’s form players and I just can’t see how he won’t be on that plane to Germany.
Another week, another Alexander Isak star man, what a player this guy is! I’m not sure if there’s a better player in the country right now, he just looks like he’ll score a couple in every game, particularly at home. Newcastle have been very good going forward all season, Eddie will be frustrated with the amount of injuries at the back, that’s what’s really cost this side this season.
Erling Haaland (Man City)
