Harry Redknapp doesn’t think Jadon Sancho has a future at Manchester United.

The former Premier League manager says there is no future for Sancho at Old Trafford as long as Erik ten Hag is manager of the club.

Sancho fell out with Ten Hag earlier this season before being banished from all first-team activities. He made the loan move to Borussia Dortmund last month and is trying to rejuvenate his career.

However, speaking to BetVictor, as quoted by DAZN, Redknapp can’t see the 23-year-old ever getting another chance at Old Trafford if Ten Hag remains manager.

“I can’t see Jadon Sancho coming back to Manchester United whilst Erik ten Hag is in charge,” Redknapp said.

“It looks like he’s burnt his bridges with him and they obviously don’t really fancy Sancho as a player.

“It is difficult to say whether Ten Hag is actually the right man for Manchester United. You’re judged on results, week by week, and three or four bad results can put you in real trouble – that’s the way the game’s gone. You come under pressure so quickly.”

After beating Wigan Athletic and Newport County to reach the FA Cup fifth-round, Redknapp is tipping United to go all the way in the competition this season.

“United have got players coming back now with the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire returning from injury, which will make a massive difference to them,” he added. “They’re got a real chance in the FA Cup this year and the competition is wide open. A lot of good teams have gone out so it is there for the taking.

“Newcastle will be very dangerous in the FA Cup this year as well; they’ve got a real chance. Tottenham and Arsenal are already out, but the most difficult team to overturn is going to be Manchester City. There is definitely an opportunity this year for somebody to try and stamp their name on the FA Cup trophy.”
