Telegram game sensation Catizen is now the official partner of Hong Kong crypto giant HashKey as both pursue mutual expansion.

HashKey Group has inked a strategic partnership with Catizen, a vital Telegram-based crypto game. Precisely, the leading end-to-end digital asset financial services group has made Catizen its first Web3 partner. Together, they plan to build the next generation of GameFi and global digital entertainment infrastructure.

HashKey Extends Partnership With TON Ecosystem

Noteworthy, Catizen currently has 29 million global community members who constantly interact with the platform. This latest alliance will see the duo leverage the licensed exchange to provide these community members with more compliant and reliable digital asset services. In addition, both entities plan to deliver unique Web3.0 gaming experiences for global players and crypto asset users.

HashKey and Catizen will leverage The Open Network (TON) ecosystem to achieve this feat. Hashkey Group’s collaboration with the TON Foundation dates back to April this year, when it began seeking more strategies to further develop the ecosystem. Markedly, the strategic alliance involved listing Toncoin, a move that became a milestone for the TON ecosystem.

It also came with a community giveaway campaign featuring a prize pool of 5,000 TON and 100,000 HSK. In less than five months, this collaboration has contributed significantly to the expansion of the TON ecosystem. Catizen has reached a global user base of more than 29 million, while its daily Active Users (DAU) peaked at 3.5 million.

The number of on-chain users has climbed to more than 1.8 million. Telegram Premium users are over 2.1 million, and the numbers are still growing rapidly.

Catizen Delivers More Value to Players

Amongst its counterparts, Catizen has a track record of becoming the first casual nurturing game in the Ton ecosystem to outrank its peers in both completion and user experience. With this milestone sufficiently bridges the gap between ordinary gamers and Web3.0. Ultimately, this accelerates the widespread adoption of Web3.0 on a global scale.

“As a phenomenal product in the GameFi sector in 2024, Catizen offers possibilities for the future development of next-generation GameFi,” Ben El-Baz, Managing Director of HashKey Global, stated. “Our goal is to provide compliant digital asset services to more players and, together with Catizen, explore the creation of a new paradigm that integrates digital finance and digital entertainment.”

Last month, the tap-to-earn game received recognition from Telegram CEO Pavel Durov for earning up to $16 million from in-app purchases. At this time, Catizen boasted of only 26 million players. Durov lauded the team’s effort behind the project, citing that it successfully introduced blockchain to millions using TON-based smart contracts for in-game rewards.

Meanwhile, this new alliance comes only two weeks after HashKey OTC, the over-the-counter trading branch of HashKey Group, received a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). These milestones reflect HashKey’s commitment to expand its operations across different regions.
