Occasionally you will see someone being let go from the company and finding success elsewhere, which seems to be the case again.

Mustafa Ali was released from his WWE contract on September 21, 2023, despite being used more frequently in NXT. Since then, Ali has announced a tour of various independent promotions and has already wrestled twice this year. According to Fightful Select, Ali being announced for events has resulted in the highest impact on ticket sales for a released WWE wrestler “in years”. Ali is currently scheduled to face Hiromu Takahashi in April.
