Flooding has become an unsettling reality for many Nigerians, as each heavy rainfall brings fear of homes and livelihoods being destroyed. Unfortunately, the situation seems to be getting worse with each passing year.

In 2022, floods displaced over 600,000 people and claimed more than 300 lives, with farmlands and entire communities devastated. As rainfall continues to increase, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency has issued a warning for more potential floods, urging both citizens and authorities to stay vigilant.
