More Details About The Alleged Murder-For-Hire Plot

Chicago Tribune reports that California prosecutors are pursuing the five men for the attempted murder of Quando Rondo. Court records say the attempt was reportedly a shootout at a Los Angeles gas station in August 2022. Surveillance video captured the incident, which led to the death of Quando’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson.

The men charged are Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston. Their charges include conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, committing murder-for-hire involving a death, and use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in death. Tribune reports that the death penalty could be on the table if convicted for the more serious charges.

Lil Durk’s hip-hop collective, Only The Family (OTF), is reportedly at the center of the crime. California prosecutors say OTF owns the credit cards Grant, Wilson, Jones, Lindsey, and Houston used for flights and rental cars.

Records also show no bond amount listed for Lil Durk, likely meaning the Chicago rapper could be sitting behind bars for now. His lawyers, Brian Bieber and Alek Ubieta told TMZ the rapper has his first court appearance on Friday in a federal court in Miami, Florida.
