Spurs 1 Newcastle 2 – Saturday 4 January 2025 12.30pm
The photo that Newcastle United fans had all really really wanted to see this afternoon.
United showing real character to bounce back from going behind to Spurs inside four minutes.
Goals from Gordon and Isak putting Newcastle United ahead at the break.
In truth though, it should have been at least a couple more goals for NUFC by half-time.
It made for a more uncomfortable second half than it should have been.
However, great commitment and discipline saw United see out the 59 (FIFTY NINE) minutes of the second half without conceding.
What a brilliant team performance.
Another winning snapshot post-match.
Another photo = The thirteenth of this season.
The Newcastle United Head Coach introduced this tradition of a post-match everybody included photo following each victory, as he felt it had worked as a bonding exercise when he was at Bournemouth.
(It is actually the fourtenth victory of the season for United but for whatever reasons, no winning photo after the win over AFC Wimbledon. Can only guess winning 1-0 at home to League Two opposition might have looked a ‘little’ lame.)
Six photos (victories!) in a row.
Great to see.
It is also a massive bonus just how much it winds up fans of certain other clubs and journalists.
‘Look at them, think they have won the Premier League / Champions League… etc etc’
I absolutely love it.
Eighteen more Premier League games to go, as well as fingers crossed plenty more cup matches, so hopefully many more of these photos to come.
