Justin Baldoni‘s movie It Ends With Us was not made by Disney, but he’s bringing the studio into his legal drama with Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds. Variety reports that Justin‘s lawyer Bryan Freedman sent a litigation hold letter to Marvel president Kevin Feige, Disney CEO Bob Iger, and Deadpool director Tim Miller. The letter, sent on January 7, “calls on the studio to preserve all relevant documents and data with regards to Baldoni,” according to the outlet. Why? Keep reading to find out more… Fans believe that Ryan threw a dig at Justin in his movie Deadpool & Wolverine through the Deadpool variant named Nicepool. Nicepool (who was also played by Ryan) sports a man bun, a hairstyle Justin noticeably also sported for years. The character makes a comment about Ladypool (played by Blake), saying, “Oh my goodness, wait til you’ve seen Ladypool. She is gorgeous. She just had a baby too and [you] can’t even tell.” After Nicepool makes the comment about Ladypool’s body, Deadpool tells him, “I don’t think you’re supposed to say that.” In response, Nicepool, with one hand on his chest, says, “That’s OK. I identify as a feminist.” Justin‘s lawyer has reacted to the reports and says there’s “no question it relates to Justin.” The new litigation hold letter asks the movie studios to preserve “any and all documents relating to the development of the ‘Nicepool’ character” as well as “communications relating to the development, writing, and filming of storylines and scenes featuring ‘Nicepool.’” Disney and Marvel are also being asked to retain “all documents relating to or reflecting a deliberate attempt to mock, harass, ridicule, intimidate, or bully Baldoni through the character of ‘Nicepool.’” Even though Tim Miller didn’t direct Deadpool & Wolverine, his name is mentioned as it has been alleged that he had a feud with Ryan after directing the first movie in the franchise. ____ Justin Baldoni‘s lawyers have released audio of a voice note they say he sent to his team on the night of the It Ends with Us premiere held at New York City’s AMC Lincoln Square Theater
