With authority, the French women’s team won in England (1-2) this Friday evening, as part of the Euro 2025 qualifiers.

Quite a performance from Les Bleues less than two months before the Olympic Games. Traveling in a packed St James’Park, Hervé Renard’s players dominated, in style, England (1-2) this Friday evening, on the occasion of the 3e day of the Euro 2025 qualifiers.

Yet led by a goal from Mead (30e), the Blues overturned everything thanks to the Parisiennes De Almeida (41e) and Katoto (58e). The just reward for a great collective performance. Well in place tactically, the Tricolores were devilishly effective offensively to win against the reigning European champions and the vice-world champions.

France-England, rematch Tuesday in Saint-Etienne

It’s a solid success for the French in these qualifiers, with three victories in as many matches played. Before getting the better of the Lionesses, they beat Ireland (1-0) and Sweden (0-1). A good omen as the Paris Olympics approach, the major objective of Les Bleues this year.

Before fully switching to preparation for the Games, Wendie Renard and her partners will meet these same English women on Tuesday evening in Saint-Etienne, in the Cauldron of Geoffroy-Guichard.
