The Knockouts World Title was on the line tonight on TNA Impact! as former Knockout Marti Belle looked to challenge TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace.
After losing the Champions Challenge last week, Grace is looking to bounce back after that loss and prove why no one can move the “Juggernaut.”
But, first personal concierge George Iceman announces that Ash By Elegance has suffered some injuries after getting knocked out by Xia Brookside last week with Ash’s bejeweled knuckles. As a replacement, Iceman brings out a mannequin in essence of Ash as a “stand in.”
The Knockouts title match gets underway and Grace is off to a powerful start. Grace seems to power through Belle throughout the match, but Belle attempts to find openings in her offense.
Belle attempts to go for Hell’s Belles during the match, but cannot seem to lock it in after attempting three times. Grace proves that she is just too much for Belle as she hits the Juggernaut Driver for the win. Post-match, Allysin Kay, tag-team partner of Belle, attacks Grace post-match and uses the “stand in” as weaponry. The HEX tag team hit the HEX marks the spot, making a statement against the Knockouts Champion.
Post-match HEX has some words for Grace, and seemingly Belle is taking home a piece of Grace with her.
Next in Knockouts action, Jody Threat goes one-on-one with Tasha Steelz, as the team of Spitfire look to overcome some shortcomings after having lost their titles recently.
Threat tries to make quick work of Steelz throughout the beginning of the match, but Steelz doesn’t go down without a fight. Steelz gets caught on the top rope, but manages to hit a backstabber on the apron to turn the match around.
Threat manages to come back fired up and go wild, but Dani Luna and Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen tell her to go for the cover. She doesn’t heed their words and gets caught in a Cutter with Steelz walking away with the win.
Next, we have PCO seemingly calling out for once Steph De Lander after offering a rose to her last week.
And to cap off the night it is announced next week on Impact, a sitdown interview is scheduled as Gail Kim looks to have another talk with Gisele Shaw.
