Harry Kane will be hoping that history can repeat itself to help him end his trophy drought.
The England captain is enjoying a great first season with Bayern Munich from a personal point of view, having scored 26 goals already this term.

Bayern currently sit in second place in the Bundesliga, seven points behind runaway leaders Bayer Leverkusen, albeit with a game in hand over Xabi Alonso's side.
That means that Kane's search for a major trophy could be set to continue, but if history is anything to go by, the striker might just be alright.
That's because the last time that Bayer Leverkusen were top of the table at the midway point of the season, they slipped up and allowed Bayern to claim the Bundesliga title.
That happened in 2008/2009, with Bayern going on to win 11 out of 13 German league titles in the years that followed.
For Kane, the need to win a major piece of silverware is glaringly obvious.
Despite being one of the top strikers in world football, Kane is yet to win a major club trophy.
The former Tottenham star has been a runner-up on four occasions - twice in the League Cup (2015 and 2021), once in the Champions League (2019) and once in the European Championship with England (2021).
