Hoffenheim fires coach Pellegrino Matarazzo

Currently fifteenth in the Bundesliga after a 0-0 draw yesterday against Augsburg, Hoffenheim is only one point ahead of current play-off St. Pauli. The German club which held Olympique Lyonnais in the Europa League (2-2) this Thursday decided to part ways with its coach, the American Pellegrino Matarazzo (46 years old).

The latter and his assistant Michael Kammermeyer left the German club following their poor results. “Head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo and assistant coach Michael Kammermeyer are released. Until a successor is announced, training during the next Bundesliga break will be managed on an interim basis by Frank Fröhling and Benjamin Hübner.we can read in a press release.
