Erik ten Hag has named his starting 11 for what could well be one of his final matches in charge of Manchester United.
It’s been reported that both tonight’s European clash with FC Porto as well as Sunday’s return to Premier League action away to Aston Villa are must-win matches for the Dutchman, with pressure heavily mounted on his shoulders following the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
In terms of the team he’s entrusted to get a job done in Portugal, Ten Hag has called upon a familiar midfield-three trio in the form of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes. Kobbie Mainoo has been granted a much-needed rest, perhaps due to the hamstring injury he sustained last time out.
Rasmus Hojlund makes his first start of the campaign at No.9, with Amad Diallo and Marcus Rashford deployed on either flank. The back four is, expectedly, Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
