Just getting the chance to win a title is a big deal and now two people are going to have that kind of an opportunity after some rather special circumstances took place.

This weekend, Sting and Darby Allin successfully defended the AEW Tag Team Titles in the main event of Revolution. The match also served as Sting’s retirement match, meaning the titles’ future was in jeopardy. During the post-show media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan announced that the titles would be vacated with a tournament being held to crown new champions. There were no further details given on the tournament.
