Hollywood star, Hudson Meek, has reportedly passed away after falling from a moving vehicle in Alabama.
According to the late actor’s family, the 16-year-old fell from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills on December 19 but died two days later at the University of Alabama at Birmingham hospital.
The actor was a second-year student at Vestavia Hills High School.
Announcing his death in an Instagram post, the actor’s family described the unfortunate event as a “sudden and tragic loss”.
“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight,” the post reads.
“His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.
“Specific details regarding a Celebration of Hudson’s Life to be held on December 28, as well as how to contribute to a scholarship in Hudson’s memory at Vestavia Hills High School in lieu of flowers, will follow.
“Please pray for Hudson’s family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss.”
In his obituary, Meek’s family shared that he was an organ donor, adding that “he will continue to help others for years to come”.
Meek rose to fame for his role in the 2017 film ‘Baby Driver’ and his voice work in the preschool series ‘Badanamu Stories’.
He also appeared in TV series including the NBC drama ‘Found’, ‘The School Duel’ and ‘90 Minutes in Heaven’.
