Homecoming? Kenny Omega May Return To AEW Much Sooner Than Expected

He’s back? There are all kinds of ways to bring back a star after a lengthy absence and some of them can be rather impactful. You never know when you are going to see someone pop up after a long time away from the ring, especially when there is a health issue involved. That is what we might be seeing soon in AEW and it very well may be a lot sooner than expected.

According to Fightful Select by way of Cagesideseats.com, Kenny Omega is expected to be at this weekend’s Worlds End event in Orlando, Florida. It is not clear Omega will be appearing on the broadcast. Omega has been out of action for over a year due to a case of diverticulitis. He has made appearances since then, during which he was kicked out of the Elite. Omega is set to return to the ring on January 5 at Wrestle Dynasty.

Opinion: This is good to hear and hopefully everything works out for Omega, who has missed quite a bit of time due to health issues for a long time now. It would be nice to have him back, as Omega is certainly the kind of person who can make a major impact as soon as he returns to the ring. For now though, we’ll have to see what AEW has in mind for him, which should be quite the big moment.
