Nollywood actress, Jemimah Osunde has opened up about her three-year health struggle caused by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection and its complications.
The 28-year-old shared her ordeal on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, explaining that she contracted H. pylori after eating contaminated food on a movie set in Ibadan.
The infection, she said, has since resulted in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), leaving her in a constant battle for her health.
“My own stomach is my greatest op. Actually, my entire GIT. SMH,” she wrote.
She added: “I’ve never regretted anything the way I regret taking that job and going with them to Ibadan to shoot under their care.
“Got H. pylori from set food, and the aftermath GERD has left me fighting for my life the last 3 years. The past month has really been something. sigh.”
