Who Is Teddi Mellencamp’s Mother?

Teddi’s mother is Victoria Granucci, an actress and former wife of the singer. Victoria and John were married from 1981 to 1989 and had two kids together.

As a teenager, Teddi revealed on her podcast Two Ts in a Pod that she didn’t speak to her father for several years, a period of estrangement influenced by John’s divorce from Teddi’s mother.

But in a May 19, 2024 appearance on the Sibling Revelry podcast with Kate and Oliver Hudson, Teddi reflected on her relationship with her father, saying, “I think he was always tried his best. Do I think that we’re in a way better place now than when I was a kid? Yes, but also because I mean, I didn’t really understand the importance of a good relationship with my parents when I was a kid.”

Does Teddi Mellencamp Have Siblings?

Teddi is one of five children of John. The singer’s first daughter, Michelle Suzanne Mellencamp, was born on December 4, 1970, with his ex-wife Priscilla Esterline. He then had two daughters with Victoria: Teddi, the second child, born on July 1, 1981, and Justice Mellencamp, born in Indiana in August 1985. Lastly, John had two sons with his third wife, Elaine Irwin: Hud Mellencamp, born on April 27, 1994, and Speck Wildhorse Mellencamp, born on April 23, 1995.

Teddi Mellencamp’s Battle with Melanoma

Teddi has been very open about her melanoma battle since 2022, when she revealed her diagnosis.

However, on Wednesday, February 12, the 43-year-old shared on Instagram that she now has multiple brain tumors. “For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months.”

Teddi was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in March 2022. She revealed she had a spot on her back removed after her friend Kyle Richards advised her to get checked because it looked like skin cancer. She also revealed photos of the spot and what it looked like after it was removed. “I am doing my best to stay present and positive as I head to [film] today. Grateful that I am busy to keep my mind from racing as I await the results,” she wrote at the time. “I find strength in being honest with you all and hope this helps others. Please let this be a reminder to take action on your own skin.”
