And with MTV rolling out the red carpet at Long Island’s UBS Arena on Thursday night, fans needn’t wait long to see who’s taking home a trophy at this year’s musical extravaganza.
Read on for everything to know about the 2024 ceremony — from who’s performing to how to watch for free.
When are the VMAs?
This year’s VMAs take place on September 11, 2024 (after shifting a day due to Tuesday’s presidential debate) and will be available to watch and stream live on MTV at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
How to watch and stream the VMAs
No cable? No problem. Viewers can stream the VMAs live on services like Hulu + Live TV ($77/month after trial), which offers a slew of cable channels — plus bonus services like Disney+ and ESPN+, both included with the subscription.
The best part? The streamer offers a 3-day free trial for new users. (Plus, if you do end up subscribing after that, you’ll also get $30 off your first month).
