The 2024 NFL season is about to start, and the mornings will be brighter with Good Morning Football returning after a four-month hiatus.

GMFB relocated to LA, and Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, Peter Schrager, Sherree Burruss, and Akbar Gbajabiamila will host the show.

Not only will GMFB return to a new city, new studio, new coast, and new hosts, but the crew will also be expanding with a new show called GMFB: Overtime.

Ahead of the relaunch, Brandt reassured fans that the show would not change and would continue to be the show viewers have enjoyed since its premiere in 2016.

“The second that first topic comes up and we scream out, ‘The Lead Block,’ and then we’re off to talking about whoever’s training camp, it’s going to be like, ‘Oh, it’s Good Morning Football in a bigger studio.’ That’s my reassurance. We didn’t break it. We’re not going to change it. Once the talking starts, you’re gonna get real familiar with it fast,” Brandt told Deadline recently.

Erdahl also echoed Brandt’s sentiment in keeping the show as it has been throughout its history.

“You know what you love, but you don’t know yet the new things you’ll fall in love with about parts of the show,” Erdahl said. “We don’t know what it’s going to look like and I actually think what will be entertaining for people that know our show so well, that we do kind of crazy clunky things, is that we are going to grow together, literally in this new massive space that feels four times the size of our old studio.”

She continued, “We want to do it together like we’re rehearsing here some ins and outs, but this is going to be a ‘We are figuring this out on the fly.’ And all those imperfections that people love about GMFB.”
