Real Madrid suffered a major injury four days before the Clasico against FC Barcelona.
Bad news for Real Madrid. During the Merengue’s stunning victory over Borussia Dortmund (5-2), Tuesday evening in the Champions League, Rodrygo was injured at the end of the match. Obviously muscularly injured, the Brazilian was forced to give up his place in the 85the minute of play.
After the match, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed the injury to his Auriverde striker, who felt discomfort behind his right thigh when he accelerated on Madrid’s third goal. “He made a spectacular run on the third goal… It’s a shame, but that’s how it is,” said the Italian coach.
Package almost confirmed for the Clasico
According to the Spanish press, Rodrygo is suffering from a torn hamstring. He must now undergo examinations on Thursday to determine the exact nature of his injury and the duration of his unavailability.
“Thank you for all the messages of love and support! Tomorrow I will do some tests and, with faith, this injury will not be serious”wrote Rodrygo on his social networks after the match against BvB. While waiting to learn more, the former Santos prodigy will most certainly have to forfeit the Clasico against FC Barcelona on Saturday in La Liga.
