Having only resumed Manchester United first-team training in early July, Jadon Sancho may be spending the 2024/2025 campaign away from the club.

Indeed, the winger faces an uncertain Red Devils future – despite agreeing to bury the hatchet with Erik ten Hag following their notorious fallout last September.

He’s found himself heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks, as the state-owned Ligue 1 giants continue on their hunt to fill the Kylian Mbappe-sized void left in Luis Enrique’s squad. Sancho made his way onto their shortlist, perhaps due to the stellar shift he oversaw against them in last season’s Champions League semi-finals while he was on loan with Borussia Dortmund.

Yet, it’s now considered unlikely that PSG’s interest will materialise, according to Christopher Michel. He dropped a transfer bombshell this morning, which claims that Chelsea are now ‘suddenly in the running’ to sign the 24-year-old – either on a loan with an obligation agreement or through a part-exchange deal.

It remains to be seen which of the Blues’ 43 first-team players would be sent the other way and make the switch to Old Trafford. If it were up to fans, Cole Palmer would easily be the pick of the bunch, but there’s no chance they’d part ways with their talisman – especially after they just extended his already seven-year contract to nine years.
