The very probable arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid next season should be accompanied by the entry into force of a new law advantageous for big fortunes.

At the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain on June 30, Kylian Mbappé is preparing to take on a new challenge after seven years spent in the City of Lights. And barring a huge twist, the kid from Bondy should sign up for Real Madrid.

An arrival on the Santiago Bernabéu side which should coincide with the repeal of a new law favoring big fortunes. According to El Nacional, the Community of Madrid is set to approve a measure exempting foreign nationals in the Spanish capital from their regional income taxes in a bid to facilitate their investments. A project called… “Mbappé law”.

A nice tax advantage

The captain of the French team would thus have to pay 24.5% income tax, i.e. a tax rate only 1.7% higher than that of a Madrilenian earning between 12,450 and 18,000 euros gross. per year. A nice tax advantage for the 2018 world champion, whose salary at the White House should be around 30 million euros, according to the Spanish press.

A measure which is reminiscent of the “Beckham law”, which was implemented in 2005, two years after the signing of the English star for Real Madrid. A law which no longer exists today and which made it possible, at the time, to cap the tax rate for foreigners settling in the Spanish capital for work at 24%.
