Hulk Hogan’s iconic career most definitely altered the course of professional wrestling in many ways. He also made headlines when it was rumored that he would run for President, and now Hogan has set the record straight on the matter.
Renowned for his legendary wrestling persona and his recent foray into the beer industry with Real American Beer, Hogan had expressed his eagerness to embrace leadership challenges as the President.
“We need somebody in there that’s got some common sense. So, if you need a president or vice president, I’ll volunteer and take this country over, and I’ll rule with an iron fist, a flat tax – nothing but common sense. I know right from wrong, brother.”
However, while speaking to Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Hulk Hogan was asked about his running for President. This time around, he denied ever saying he wanted to be President.
“Well, let’s go ahead and go with the news that you read and apparently believe. I did not say that. I had someone say to me something about political office. ‘What would you do?’ I can’t remember what it was. I said, ‘Well, if I was President or Vice President, I would blah blah blah.'”
In the meantime, The Hulkster made an appearance at the Republican National Convention. Regardless, Hogan is busy with other things in his life and that’s what matters to him now.
