UPDATE: The series will launch all of its eight episodes on Friday September 6.

ORIGINAL January 29: Hulu’s unscripted offerings include The Kardashians and a new reality series featuring a pair of WWE stars.

The celeb family and wrestlers will soon be joined by a group of Mormon women who are swingers. The streamer is currently working on docuseries The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The series is set in the “scandalous” world of a group of Mormon mom influencers, who implode when they get caught in the midst of a swinging sex scandal that makes international headlines. Now, their sisterhood is shook to its core. Faith, friendship and reputations are all on the line. Will #MomTok be able to survive and continue to give the rulebook a run for its money, or will this group fall from grace?

It stars Taylor Frankie Paul, Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Wessel, Mikayla Mathews, Mayci Neeley and Whitney Leavitt.

Rob Mills, EVP, Unscripted & Alternative Entertainment at Walt Disney Television, speaking at the Realscreen event in New Orleans, said, “We have a show that we’re working on now that we’re excited about, which is about a group of Mormon wives who are also swingers.”

He said, somewhat jokingly, that this show sums up the difference between a Hulu show and an ABC show.

The series is being produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions, the company behind Netflix’s Bling Empire, in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative. It is being exec produced by Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, Brandon Beck, Eric Monsky, Ross Weintraub, Reinout Oerlemans, Lisa Filipelli, Danielle Pistotnik and Georgia Berger.

It’s the latest Mormon series for Hulu; the streamer aired Mormon No More in 2022, which followed the journey of a 30-something married Mormon mom who’s just discovered she’s gay and in love with her female friend, another Mormon mom.

It comes ahead of the launch of Love & WWE, which focuses on WWE stars Bianca Belair and Montez Ford’s relationship. The series, which launch on February 2, will peek into their lives, following the pair’s road to WrestleMania.

The series is produced by WWE and Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios. Kevin Dunn and Chris Kaiser are the executive producers for WWE. Pam Healey, Will Nothacker, Liz Fine, Russ Friedman and Jayson Elmore are executive producers for Spoke.

Meanwhile, The Kardashians, which is produced by Fulwell 73, has aired four seasons on Hulu. Mills called The Kardashians a “signature” Hulu show and the “face of our unscripted brand” and it has Vanderpump Villa coming soon.
