Tottenham fan Jamie O’Hara expressed an unlikely degree of sympathy towards Chelsea supporters, labelling Mauricio Pochettino’s side as ‘garbage’.

The talkSPORT host and ex-Spurs midfielder was in attendance to watch Wolves' superb 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday – a result that saw Chelsea slip into the bottom half of the table.

The Blues’ latest setback has caused further disgruntlement among the club’s fanbase, ramping up the pressure on Pochettino.

Chelsea face the stark reality of missing out on European football for a second-successive season and, despite being one of the most vocal supporters of the Blues' fiercest rivals, O'Hara refused to twist the knife.

In fact, he was left feeling sorry for his fellow football fans.

“Pochettino is under serious pressure at that football club right now,” the Tottenham academy graduate told talkSPORT.

“I watched them at the weekend and I had a bit of a rant because I’m not a Chelsea fan but sitting there watching that garbage, honestly I was getting the hump.

“These fans that are going there and having to pay good money to watch Chelsea. It’s an expensive place to have a season ticket and they are absolutely terrible – one of the worst teams I’ve seen.

“Wolves dominated them from start to finish. There was no urgency, there was no grit to their play.

"It didn’t look like anyone wanted to go and fight for the team, put in a challenge and pick them up.

"They just rolled over and it was embarrassing to watch.”
